Pet Illustration

This is my illustration of my seven month old Shih Tzu puppy Emmy Lou. The back ground is inspired by the color of her collar and leash. This was a very fun project to do as it was a challenge because Emmy Lou is so many different shades of black, grey and white and in some cases even brown.The picture that I had used was actually hard to get because she has so much energy and never stands still. It was kind of difficult to pick apart every color that she had in her fur and I feel that a goal of this project was to get better at working with color. As well as seeing the fine details and differences in color in art. In this project it was the eyes. The eyes are very vital for making the picture come alive. I feel that this project turned out very well and I am pretty happy with the coloration of Emmy Lou.
